BIRD SONG

Listen to the sunrise.

Feel the velvety glow of pastels,

crimson and gold

they glide across the silky sky.

Close your eyes. Hear the bird song,

wind chimes whispering in the wind.

The dew on the grass is like a city of

a thousand, silvery lights.

Like diamonds in white sand dunes.

CAPTIVE TO NONE

Fly, sweet scent of spring,

upon the wings of April winds.

The eagle, soaring to the heights of the skies,

in regal glory shines.

His strength is seen as he glides past the sun,

dipping his wing to turn.

His gentleness is far surpassed by his graceful,

feathery furls.

He is honor and justice. He is king of the skies.

He is challenged by all, but,

captive to none, he remains.

COME SIT WITH ME

Come inside lonely stranger

Come inside and sit with me

Tell me of your journey

Did you find the road to set you free

GOLDEN TREE

When I die don't bury me

Just let my spirit fly

Cast my ashes to the wind and

To the open sky

Come take a walk down Country Lane

Look for the golden tree

Sit down relax and close your eyes

Tell me what you see

PAINTED LEAVES

Lazy summer afternoon

Lie beneath the trees

Stare into the clear blue sky

Reminisce your dreams

Your eyes are like the rays of sun

Splashed down between the leaves

Your face takes on a peaceful glow

As your spirit leaves

Sail across the golden clouds

Above the tree tops tall

Your eyes become the rainbow of

The painted leaves of fall

YOU NEED NOT SAY WHY

The sun will set and the moon will rise

The artist paints the autumn skies

Days will come and days will go

The rivers never cease to flow

Fresh are the flowers and green is the grass

But these things will soon come to pass

Try once more and you will see

The sun will shine and the birds will sing

ONE MORE TIME AGAIN

I'd like to see the sunrise

On the sparkling dewy dawn

I'd like to see the beauty of a newborn spotted fawn

I'd like to see the laughter in

The happy children's eyes

I'd like to see the stretching wings as the eagle flies

I'd like to see the rainbow from

A gentle summer's rain

I'd like to see all these things

Just one more time again
